
Transmanche and LD Lines are in the process of reconstructing the port of Newhaven.
The passenger terminal has been refitted with two check-in desks and The Haven Café recently opened its doors to customers.
Other projects taking place around the port area is the development of ‘The Cape’ one of the first parts of the redevelopment of the Newhaven Marina. In total 600 new homes are planned along the waters edge, and when completed there are also plans for restaurants, shops and numerous sporting facilities.
How to get to Newhaven
Newhaven Ferry Port by Car
Newhaven port is located on the A259 coast road between Brighton and Eastbourne. To get to Newhaven from the UK’s major road network travel from the M25 onto the M23 (this becomes the A23) then follw the A26 for signs to Newhaven.

Newhaven Ferry Port by Rail
You can travel by rail to and from Newhaven Town Train
station which offers regular train services from Seaford and Lewes/Brighton.
National services run frequently between London and Newhaven mostly with at
least one change.

Newhaven Ferry Port by Bus
Regular buses (operated by South Coast Buses / Brighton & Hove www.buses.co.uk ) arrive and depart daily from Brighton, Peacehaven, Seaford, Bexhill, Folkestone, Dover, Rye and Hastings.
Newhaven Ferry Port by Coach
There is a frequent National Express service operating
various coaches to Newhaven from around the UK.
